Dr. Amit Kapoor is the Consultant-Neurosurgery in Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital. He has neurosurgical work experience in prestigious Neurosurgical units like Voluntary Health Services Hospital, Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai (2009 – 2011), Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, Chikitsa Noida Medical Centre along with Apollo Hospital, Noida.

He has performed microsurgical excision of brain and spinal tumors, both intra and extra-axial. These include gliomas, acoustic tumors, pituitary tumors (Endoscopic Transnasal procedures) and giant meningioma. Many of these intracranial surgeries have required frameless image guidance or frame based stereotactic assistance. In addition, he has used the CRW frame for stereotactic biopsies and also has been part of more than 1800 brain & spine surgeries at Apollo Hospitals over last 10 years. These include about 750 cranial cases and 1050 spinal cases and more than 300 Pediatric cases at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital.

He also has been involved in the treatment planning, with the medical physicist and the radiation oncologist, of patients taken up for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT).
