We have a very competent team of anesthesiologists having specialized training in General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, Spine Surgery and Gynecology and Urology. We perform many surgical procedures on an outpatient basis also using advanced anesthetic techniques that allow patients to be discharged early and safely with minimal interruption in their daily routines. We offer round the clock anesthesia-related services while ensuring the patient’s full safety and comfort during the surgery and in the postoperative period.

We have 5 operation theaters (OT) with laminar air conditioning and hepa filters to maintain absolute sterility. Each OT to is equipped with the latest generation, low flow, anaesthetic workstation with built in ventilation.

Out of these 5 OTs, one is dedicated for Orthopaedics, One OT for Opthamology (Eye), One OT for emergency surgery. In addition to that we have one Minor OT.

Other dedicated O.Ts are for Neurosurgery, Joint Replacement, Urology, Ophthalmology, Paediatric & Neonatal and general surgeries. The most complex and diverse type of surgeries are performed here on many critically ill patients varying in age from preterm neonates to centenarians. The O.Ts function during office hours for elective surgeries and round the clock 3 O.Ts are for emergency surgeries.

The department has modern modular monitors used for continuous monitoring of pulse, blood pressure, ECG, temperature, arrhythmia analysis, invasive pressure, end tidal CO2, anaesthetic gas monitor, and depth of anaesthesia (Entropy).

We have infusion pumps for exact dose & fluid delivery. There is patient controlled analgesia (PCA) pump for epidural infusion to give post operative pain relief. These PCA pumps are round the clock monitored by dedicated nurse and consultant anaesthesiologist on duty.

We have the most advanced Difficult intubation Cart, which comprises of Fast Track Laryngeal Mask Airway, Fibreoptic bronchoscopes for intubation, Rigid endoscope for Retromolar intubation, and cricothyrotomy set for emergency Tracheostomy. We also have a Nerve stimulator guide for locating peripheral nerves and giving all types of nerve blocks.

To keep abreast of the latest, the members of department organize and regularly attend various scientific meetings where they present research papers and deliver lectures.
